Another obscure post.

Well, looks like I'm posting more frequently! O.o

So, question I found online: Roses on your table or diamonds on your neck?

First thing that came to mind? NEITHER.
Many would say that roses are awfully romantic but I would have to disagree. Let me remind you that FLOWERS TEND TO DIE. Now is that really the message you want to be sending your significant other? That, just like those flowers, your love for them is going to eventually die? NO THANKS. You can keep those overrated presents. Also, they would probably make me sneeze lol. And store bought roses really aren't as pretty as the tiny ones you can grow yourself - these ones will bloom every year too =P.
On the other hand, unlike those dying flowers, diamonds will last forever. This is true. But really, what is the purpose of a diamond? To me, a diamond is really just a close friend to graphite. I would use (and have used) diamond to polish things, or to cut other things with precision. Also, they're a waste of money, especially if you happen to lose it somewhere. Imagine what you could do with that money: donating it, or saving it for, I dunno, your kid's future or something (-.-"), or create SO MANY MORE memories by going out and doing fun thing. Because let's face it, diamonds may last forever, but you really only have the one memory with it. Also, you probably don't wear it all that often anyway.

Does this make me any less double-x chromosome-ed? Or have a lack of romance? Well, pity that is. I'd rather be realistic anyway. =)
