And what a way to end it. It's not something that I should be OVERLY proud of, but I got into Mac for chem-eng. It's not my first choice, but at least i got into an engineering programme! YAY!!! =) I am looking forward to March Break. Not that it's been much needed yet, but simply because sometimes, I can't put up with all the noise in the cafeteria at lunch, all the stupid classes I have to spend 1.25 hours in. ackness. Not much else has happened. Band music is new now. hahaha. Good to stop playing those stupid songs that the stupid adjudicators didn't like. LOL. But now, we have to play RIDE, which is like.. mads hard. LOL ackness. Colley thinks we're good enough, but ULGH, so freakin' hard, the rhythms and other such things. LOL Anyway, congrats to Jo too, for getting into mac, and hope you're feeling better! Get lots of rest and drink OJ and water! =)))

//.edit] Change of lyt. It's really pink, isn't it? But I think I really hate how things are done on blogger, or maybe cus I haven't gotten used to it. I think I'm just going to change backgrounds and fonts every so often only. ACK. Xanga's so much easier doh><" ... since I have blogged or changed this horrible lyt; ... since I've had so much work; ... since I've worked so hard on a Friday night; ... since I've finished big assignments a few days in advance; ... since Kiwanis Festival adjudicators have hated us. Knowing that Kiwanis would take up my whole Saturday, I worked quite diligently this past week on my English ISP journals. Ms. Robertson doesn't think I'm missing anything on them, so that's all I'm going to do. Kiwanis yesterday was HORRIBLE. "So, I think that in order to do well tonight, we should pull out a lot and miss a lot of notes." - Mr. Colley. That is what he said when we came back for the challenge piece. Our entire band had been demoralized by the results of the competition. For the past two years, we've always placed, it didn't matter if it was first, second, or third; at least we placed. But what happened yesterday was just RETARDED. I'm am not in the habit of putting down other schools, but quite honestly, the school that got first IN EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY was not the best school there. Their "Slava" was not the greatest. Practically our whole band agreed that the only bands that should have placed were Huron Heights, Markville, and us. It's not like I'm TRYING to sound like we're the best, we were certainly did not deserve what we got. The march class was ridiculous too. Lawrence Park beat us with their portrayal of Black Granite. Okay, so ours wasn't perfectly controlled, but we weren't all about power. But then again, we'd only spent two weeks on that march, but somehow, ours STILL sounded better. ULGH and Aurora didn't even play that well AGAIN. But guess who was first again? AURORA! When we were waiting for the results and third and second place were announced, it was just "first or forth" going through our minds, but how in the friggen world, did AURORA get it?! We went back to our practice room low in spirits. But then we just started bashing the adjudicators. And Wendy Wong went and talked to Colley, and came back saying he didn't respect the adjudicators. And I was shocked. Him, being easygoing already was ticked? That doesn't happen often. Dinner was over and when he came back, he said that quote mentioned above, and it seemed enough to perk everyone up. It no longer seemed to matter that the adjudicators were a bunch of blind and deaf "dodos", because we knew we were good, so screw them. When we played "Chorale and Shaker Dance" it was the best we ever played. Maybe it was the need to show them we could play, or maybe it was the anger that was driving us, but it was freakin' awesome. Once again, didn't place (Aurora got first, AGAIN), but on the bus, we were just so proud of ourselves and the way way we played, that we were happy, despite it all. So i suppose it was a good experience and all, but it's just soo aggravating how stupid those dumb jerks were. And you know what? Ironically, at the end of the night, they were all for playing with musicality and with passion, not all about the notes and technicalities, but they simply just seemed to overlook the fact that we were all those things and more, and somehow, a school that did miss notes and were out of tune, and the ones to win. Did I mention that the adjudicator this year was the same one who completely "forgot" to mention us in the grade nine competition we were in? You know what I say? I say, "Whatever, SCREW YOU."

Yesterday, I finally finished the third book in the Twilight series written by Stephenie Meyer, and I think I can say, that I am in vampire withdrawal. Man, that sounds so bad, because it makes me sound like a creep, but I am so bored without those books to entertain me. And then I went onto her site, and it says that I have to wait until AUGUST for the final book?! And then even LONGER for Midnight Sun, which doesn't even have a release date yet?!?! I think I'm actually looking forward to Midnight Sun more than I am looking forward to Breaking Dawn, because it shows Edward's side and that would be EXTREMELY interesting! I was reading the chapter that the site had online and I already can't get enough. Curse you, good books and your authors! >=( Now that I'm done reading - for now - I have to get back to watching the rest of the Moonlight series that the Ban twins & co are so in love with. I have three episodes left, and I still haven't decided whether or not I'm just as caught up in the series. Anyway, I have to get ready for some relatives to come over for Lunar New Year celebrations, so I must be off now!

Okay, so it's been almost a week since semester two started, and I think that everyone was right, that I just had to settle into it and that it'd get better. Second lunch isn't so unbearable when you're sitting there reading a fantastic book called TWILIGHT. (Thanks to Jo, Lea, and Mo, I am officially hooked onto the series. Though the beginnings of the books are rather slow, once it gets going, it's incredible. =) I'm going to have to sign out the third book tomorrow!) Third lunch isn't excessively bad. We've been spending the last few lunches sitting around the halls, and...er... (*blushes) reading new moon, etc LOL. Food&Nut has improved, it's not so much lonely any more, or maybe it's simply because there's now stuff to do in that class that i have to listen to, so it doesn't seem so unbearable. =) English is good. Robertson is actually rather funny, in a weird sense I guess. Oh well =). Today was a snowday, and I can't really say I missed school too much =P. I hope that as the days wear on, it won't be so awkward, because I'm sure that the work load is coming, I can just feel it. Oh and yay to Lea and staying in calc! Now you can suffer WITH me! =)

I must say, that even though I had REALLY been looking forward to the start of semester 2, it's not at ALL that great, and the sad part is, that the only thing even worth looking forward to in school now, is math, which, if I might say, is PRETTY sad. And since I now have this blogger, I'm going to use it as a venting blog, whereas my xanga will be a normal blog. one. Second period lunch i s extremely boring, and maybe it's only because it's the first day of the semester and I didn't have any work to do, but I do not enjoy second period lunch at all; I thought I would, but I don't, and I know that that opinion is not going to change because of certain circumstances. It's very empty, and not like normal lunch periods, I can't go sit with some other people, because THERE ARE NONE. So I'm stuck in this lunch period with someone I can't stand, even if I tried. >=( two. Third lunch was such a KILL today. I know that it's still pretty much the same group +/- one person, but, either that one person away was made a real difference, or the one person added made the difference. Either way, it was bad. >=( three. Food&Nut Sci is not that great. I mean AT ALL. To put this nicely, I'll just say that no one, and i mean NO ONE (okay, except Carrie) shares a career choice even remotely close to my own. Or in other words, they wouldn't survive in any of the university level courses I enjoy taking (ie. science and maths etc). This results in me sitting alone at a desk with no one to talk to. We did one of those exercises where we try to get to know each other, but I JUST DIDN'T CARE. I don't know these people, and I don't care to take the time to know these people. And if I wanted to be blunt, quite frankly, I don't fit in and there are moments where I am disgusted with whom I'm stuck with in this class. I really don't mean to be all full of myself and rude, but I just don't like these people. So now, I'm seriously considering sacrificing a 90 in this class for data management in second period. (At least that way, I'll be solving 2 of my problems. ) four. I suppose in English class, there isn't much that I'm not happy with, yet, except for the fact that I'm a horrible writer and that I hear that Robertson is a hard marker. Great. Besides that, I've got Michelle and nothing's too bad yet. But we shall wait and see. That's my ranting of the day. Somehow though, though everything this semester is horrible, I still manage to laugh and make jokes. I guess it's because I'm able to forget things easily and move on. Sigh. I will live through this though. I will! =)

//edit. Excellent! I finally managed to put together a half decent layout together! YAY ME! I have yet to find a proper use for this blogger, except to comment on other people's blogs! =) but i must say, making a layout here is much less frustrating than making a layout on xanga. Maybe I'll start making my blogs here. =P So this is a new blog. Great. On top of my xanga one that I already have, some people, ie. Leann, insisted that I get a Blogger, which would allow me to make my own layouts. At the moment, I'm feeling a bit lazy, and debating whether or not to start on a new project right now, on this thing. It's eight, I have nothing to do, really, so maybe I SHALL do this! I guess this means I'm going to have quite a fun night then! O.o
